Carey A. Beyor, LMFT is the Founder and Director of the practice, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, and a Certified Imago Therapist.

Carey specializes in individual (children 10+, teens, and adults), couples and family therapy, and has been in practice in Glastonbury, CT for 15 years.  She has been Licensed as a Marriage and Family Therapist in Connecticut for 20 years.

With 22 years experience and since graduating Antioch New England Graduate School specializing in Marriage and Family Therapy, Carey is currently serving as private practitioner working with a broad spectrum of clients. Among her areas of expertise are:  adoption, new parents, women's issues, trauma, co-dependency, helping family members through divorce, teen issues, infertility, infidelity, intimacy issues, step/blended family issues, depression/anxiety, family conflict, and grief and loss.  Carey also enjoys working with Diverse Populations including LGBTQ persons.

Carey recently took part in extensive Training in Adoption Competency (TAC).  This means she has further knowledge beyond her Master's Degree and general training that will assist her in understanding and helping with the complexities surrounding Adoptive, Foster, Kinship, and Birth Families, as well as Adult Adoptees and others affected by adoption-type issues.

Carey also believes in being LGBTQ-friendly and trained.  She continually engages in further training in this area.  She has some experience with Transgender/Non-Binary persons and will continue to build her expertise and knowledge.

Carey A. Beyor, LMFT an interactive, solution-focused therapist. Her therapeutic approach is to provide support and practical feedback to help clients effectively address personal life challenges. She integrates complementary methodologies and techniques from CBT, DBT, Family Systems Theory, and Psychoanalytical Approaches to offer a highly personalized approach tailored to each client.  Carey believes the clients are as much the expert as the therapist and enjoys working with them as a team to resolve the issues they are facing.

Tuesdays from 8:30 am to 9:30 pm, Wednesdays from 7 am to 6 pm, Thursdays from 7 am to 5:30 pm, and Fridays from 7:30 am to 6 pm.

Carey is also currently running a Women's Trauma Recovery Group on Monday evenings from 6 to 7:30 pm.  Although this is a closed group, please know that if she has enough interest to run another wave of this group in the near future, she will!  :)

Jennifer Anderson, LMFT is a Clinical Associate in the practice, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, and is Certified in IFS Level 1.

Jennifer received her Bachelors degree in Human Development and Family Services with a minor in psychology from the University of Rhode Island and her Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy from Central Connecticut State University. Jennifer has experience working with children ages 5-18 in a School-Based Outpatient Clinic setting. She also enjoys working with couples and adult individuals through a range of therapeutic modalities such as the Internal family systems model (IFS), experience with EMDR, solution-focused therapy, play therapy and structural family therapy.

Jennifer has a range of experience and has a passion for working with children and families and helping to heal past traumas. In addition she has experience in helping individuals who present with anxiety, depression, ADHD, autism, and adjusting to transitions in life that can occur.

In addition to her clinical experiences Jennifer also has experience providing clinical supervision. Jennifer has provided clinical supervision to students and post-graduate clinicians. Jennifer enjoys teaching especially in areas of systemic family therapy and utilizing the metaframeworks lens.

Jennifer believes in the healing power of relationships. The stronger our relationships are the stronger and more resilient we can become.

Jennifer V. Lusa, LCSW, PhD is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who specializes in individual (children 10+ through adults) and family therapy.  She is also a Certified EMDR Practitioner.

Jennifer is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the states of CT and MA. She received her Doctorate in Psychology from Walden University, her Master's in Social Work from the University of Connecticut, and her BA from Saint Augustine College.  Jennifer has over 17 years experience working with latency aged children, teenagers and their families in outpatient and congregated care settings. Her primary specialties including working with those who have experienced chronic and episodic trauma, Anxiety Disorders, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, Mood Disorders, and attachment related issues.

In addition to being a highly experienced therapist, Jennifer is now Certified in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), which is scientifically proven to help resolve trauma and anxiety issues.  She utilizes this additional method with her clients if they so chose.  For more information about EMDR, please go to www.emdr.com.

Jennifer Lusa, LCSW, PhD uses a blend of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical-Behavior Therapy (DBT), Solution-focused therapy, and Trauma Focused Treatment modalities.  With competence and understanding, she works with each individual to help them build on their strengths and attain the personal growth they are committed to accomplishing.

Kristen Stickles, LPC, LADC is a Clinical Associate in the practice, a Licensed Professional Counselor and Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor.

Kristen started off in the field of counseling in an inpatient substance abuse treatment program as a residential counselor in 2008. It was there that she discovered her passion for substance abuse counseling and group facilitation. She decided to pursue a Masters Degree in professional counseling from Central Connecticut State University where she completed internships in an adult probation office as well as a domestic violence shelter. Upon graduating, she began working as a substance abuse counselor in a correctional facility. She also continued to work part time as a facilitator for first time DUI offenders in the community and as a therapist for a mental health outpatient program in Hartford. She has experience in cognitive behavioral therapy, relapse prevention, anger management, and domestic violence. She utilizes a strengths based approach to help individuals to achieve their goals. She works with adults ages 16 and over.

Mary Armstong, LMFT is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and a Clinical Associate in the practice.

Mary is currently accepting new adult clients. She is trained in CBT and DBT. Mary has experience working in congregated care and outpatient settings. Mary has worked with clients with a variety of clinical needs including relationship struggles, conduct problems, impulsive behaviors, anxiety, self-destructive behaviors, depression, and parenting skills. Mary has Bachelor’s of Science degree in Human Development and Family Studies from the University of Connecticut. She has also earned a Master’s of Science degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Central Connecticut State University.

Mary strongly believes in helping her clients reach their goals by focusing on their strengths and building on their resiliency. Mary understands that change is not always easy and she is able to help her clients determine and work towards their goals in a supportive and collaborative way.

Mimi has several years of clinical experience working with children through adults, couples and families. She has a passion for working with young adults and the typical life stage issues they are facing.

Molly Carta, LPC is a Clinical Associate in the practice and a Licensed Professional Counselor.

Having had seven years of experience in counseling, public service, and vocational rehabilitation, Molly's passion lies in one-on-one counseling for children, adolescents, and their families. Her areas of specialization include individuals with disabilities, periods of transition, and life course planning, while utilizing counseling styles that are rather eclectic in nature. These range from CBT techniques, to creative expression, to psycho-educational discussion.

Paige Bogda, LMFT is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and a Clinical Associate in the practice.

Paige received her Bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of Connecticut and her Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Saint Joseph. Paige enjoys working with children ages 5 to 18 and their families, as well as couples and adults. Paige has experience working in an outpatient setting utilizing various therapy models such as CBT, DBT, and solution-focused therapy.

Paige has a passion for working with adolescents and families and has training in working with children and adolescents who present with anxiety, depression, behavioral issues and trauma. She has training and experience in TF-CBT for children and adolescents suffering with the effects of trauma specifically. Additional areas of Paige's training include relationship issues, life transitions, mood disorders, parenting concerns, and ADHD.

Paige takes a client centered approach to treatment using unconditional positive regard to focus on clients' strengths in order to support them in overcoming life's challenges Her approach is empathic, collaborative, and goal directed.
